1. What personal information we collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

• Identity and contact details - your name, email address, phone number, and residential address, suburb or postcode.
• Property and energy details - whether you own your home, roof or property details, whether you already have solar or a battery, your electricity retailer (for example Synergy or Horizon Power), approximate energy use or bill amount, and your preferences and timeframe.
• Interaction details - your enquiries and communications with us and with the installers we match you with.
• Technical and usage data - your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring source, and information collected via cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).

We generally do not collect sensitive information (such as health or financial account details). Please do not send us sensitive information unless we specifically request it.

2. How we collect your information

• Directly from you - when you complete a form on our website, call us, email us, or otherwise contact us.
• Automatically - through cookies, analytics and advertising tools when you use our website.
• From third parties - such as our advertising and marketing partners and referral sources, where you have engaged with their content.

3. Why we collect and how we use it

We collect and use your personal information to:

• provide our core service - matching you with up to three accredited installers and facilitating quotes;
• contact you about your enquiry and respond to your requests;
• operate, improve and personalise our website, services and marketing;
• send you marketing communications where permitted (see section 5); and
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We only use your information for the purpose it was collected, for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

4. Disclosure of your information

To deliver our service, we share the personal information you provide with up to three (3) accredited solar and/or battery installers ("Installer Partners") who service your area, so they can contact you and prepare quotes. By submitting your details, you consent to this disclosure and to those Installer Partners contacting you about your enquiry. Installer Partners may pay us a referral or advertising fee.

We may also disclose your information to:

• Service providers who support our business - for example website hosting, data storage, CRM, customer support, call handling, analytics and marketing providers;
• Professional advisers, such as our lawyers and accountants;
• Government, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies, where required or authorised by law; and
• A purchaser or successor in connection with a sale, merger or restructure of our business.

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing.

5. Marketing communications and your choices

We, and the Installer Partners we match you with, may contact you by phone, SMS or email about your enquiry and related products and services. Because you have requested quotes, relevant installers may contact you about that request.

You can opt out of marketing at any time - use the unsubscribe link in our emails, reply "STOP" to an SMS, or contact us using the details in section 14. We handle electronic marketing in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and telephone marketing in line with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).

6. Cookies, analytics and online advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, understand how it is used, and measure and deliver advertising. We use third-party tools that may set cookies and collect usage data, including Google Analytics and Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of our website work.

7. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (for example cloud hosting and analytics providers) may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting our Privacy Officer (see section 14). We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will respond within a reasonable time. In some cases access may be limited or refused as permitted by law, and we will explain why.

If you have a privacy concern, or believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact our Privacy Officer (see section 14). We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate, and respond within a reasonable time.

12. Children

Our services are intended for adults (18 years and over) who own or make decisions about a property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown at the top. Significant changes will be made clear where appropriate.
